为支持孔子学院建设，促进汉语国际推广和中国文化传播，培养合格的汉语教师和各类汉语人才，孔子学院总部/国家汉办（以下简称汉办）设立孔子学院奖学金，资助外国学生、学者和汉语教师到中国有关高等学校攻读汉语国际教育专业硕士学位。
广东外语外贸大学作为汉语国际教育专业硕士培养单位之一，2013年计划招收15名外国学生攻读汉语国际教育硕士专业学位（奖学金项目）。
一、申请条件
汉语国际教育专业硕士招生对象须为非中国籍人士，身体健康，年龄一般在16至35周岁之间（在职汉语教师可放宽至45周岁）。 奖学金向孔子学院（课堂）优秀学员，海外本土汉语教师、HSK考试成绩优秀者，“汉语桥”世界大、中学生中文比赛优胜者，各国大学中文专业优秀毕业生提供，入学时间为2013年秋季，资助期限为2学年。申请者应具有学士学位或相当学历，HSK成绩不低于五级180分、HSKK（汉语水平口语考试）成绩不低于中级50分，同时书面承诺毕业后至少从事5年汉语教学工作。有具体任教意向者（须提供拟任教单位出具的证明）将被优先录取。汉办将为优秀毕业生回国任教提供支持。
奖学金优先资助具有HSK和HSKK成绩者。“汉语桥”比赛来华复赛获奖选手按奖项规定内容办理入学申请手续。申请者若重复提交申请材料，则视为无效。
二、奖学金资助内容及标准
孔子学院奖学金资助内容包括：注册费、学费、基本教材费、一次性安置费、生活费（人民币1700元/月），提供住宿、门诊医疗服务和来华留学生综合保险。录取前已在华学习半年以上者，不再发给一次性安置费。
三、招生流程
1.自本办法发布之日起，申请者可登陆孔子学院奖学金网http://cis.chinese.cn 注册个人账号，在线填写、提交《孔子学院奖学金申请表》，同时将纸质打印件连同其它材料（见第四条）于4月20日前一并递交至我校。
2.我校负责审核申请者入学资格，并于5月10日前向汉办提交符合条件的奖学金留学生预录取名单。
3.汉办将组织专家进行评审，对符合条件者择优录取。获奖者名单将于6月15日前在奖学金网站公布，同时通知接收院校和推荐机构，并由推荐机构通知申请者本人。
4.我校于7月1日前将《录取通知书》、《报到须知》、《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》（JW202表）等入学材料寄达推荐机构，由推荐机构转交申请者本人。
四、申请材料
申请者须提交以下材料（通过电子邮件发送或者邮寄至我校）：
1．《孔子学院奖学金申请表》。
2．护照照片页复印件。
3．申请陈述。须用中文介绍汉语学习背景、来华学习计划及目标等，不少于800字。
4．HSK、HSKK成绩报告复印件。
5．最高学历和成绩证明。申请者须提交经过公证的最高学历或在校学习证明。
6．推荐信及承诺书。未建孔子学院国家的有关高校中文专业学生，须另附校长签发的推荐信。汉语国际教育专业硕士申请者须同时提交两名副教授以上职称导师的推荐信（用中文或英文书写），以及毕业后至少从事5年汉语教学工作的承诺书（用中文书写并签名）。
7．未满18周岁的申请者，须提交委托在华法定监护人的相关法律文件。
8．“汉语桥”世界大、中学生中文比赛来华复赛获奖者须提供奖学金证书。各国分赛区优胜者须提供获奖证明和赛区主办单位出具的推荐函。
9．在职汉语教师须提交就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信。
五、入学及年度评审
1．奖学金获得者须按学校规定按时到校报到。无故逾期未报到者，奖学金资格不予保留。
2．入学体检不合格者，奖学金资格将被取消。
3．按照《孔子学院奖学金年度评审办法》的规定，汉语国际教育专业硕士须在入学后第一学年结束前参加年度评审，符合条件者方可继续享受下一年度奖学金。

Recruitment Procedures for Confucius Institute scholarship(2013) of Master’s
degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of OtherLanguages (MTCSOL) of
Guangdong University of Foreign Studies
In order to support the development of Confucius Institutes, facilitate Chinese language promotion and Chinese cultural transmission in the world, cultivate qualified Chinese language teachers and talented students of Chinese language, Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban (hereinafter referred to as Hanban) launches the “Confucius Institute Scholarship” program to provide financial aid for students, scholars and Chinese language teachers worldwide to proceed to a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) in Chinese universities. Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (hereinafter referred to as GDUFS) as one of the units of MTCSOL, is now recruiting15Confucius Institute scholarship students in 2013.
I. Application Requirement
1.Scholarship for Students ofMTCSOL（Master's Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages）
Applicants shall benon-Chinese citizensin good health,aged between 16 and 35(Chinese language teachers in post shall be aged below 45). The scholarship is provided to outstanding students of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms), overseas local Chinese language teachers, outstanding performers on HSK exams, winners of the "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competitions for Foreign College Students and for Foreign High School Students, and outstanding graduates of Chinese language across the world for taking the MTCSOL degree. The scholarship winner shall begin the study in autumn 2013, and the grant will cover two academic years. Applicants are required to havebachelor degreesor its equivalent with a score of at least180 on the HSK (level 5) and a score of at least 50 on the HSKK(intermediate level), andmake a written commitmentstating that he/shewill be engaged in Chinese language teaching for at least 5 years after graduation.Applicants with specific teaching posts arranged will be given admission priority (certification by the institution he/she will teach for is required). Hanban will provide support for outstanding graduates to return to their countries to teach.
Applicants with HSK and HSKK scores will be given priority to scholarships.Winners of the finals of the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competitions for Foreign College Students and for Foreign High School Students in China shall arrange their applications in accordance with the prize specifications Repetitive applications are invalid.
II. Scholarship Coverage and Criteria
Scholarship winners are exempt from registration fees, tuition, fees for basic learning materials, accommodation fees on campus, and are provided with a one-off resettlement subsidy, monthly allowance, outpatient medical service and comprehensive insurance for foreign students studying in China. The one-off resettlement subsidy will not be provided to those who have studied in China for more than half a year before being enrolled.
III. Recruitment Procedures
1. From the issue date of the Procedures, applicants should log on to the Confucius Institute Scholarship website at http://cis.chinese.cn, set up an individual account, complete and submit the Confucius Institute Scholarship Application Form online, print out the Form and submit it to GDUFS along with other application materials (see Article 4)before April 10th,2013.
2. GDUFS is responsible for reviewing the qualification of applicants and submitting the proposed enrollment name list of qualified candidates to Hanban byMay 10th 2013.
3. Hanban will organize an expert panel to make the final selection, and publish the name list of successful applicants on the Scholarship website byJune 15th, 2013.Hanban will also inform the host institutes and the recommending institutions, which will inform the applicants.
4.GDUFS will post “Admission Notice”, “Enrollment Instructions”, “Visa Application Form for Foreigners to Study in China" (JW202 Form) and other related materials to successful applicants through their recommending institutions byJuly 1st, 2013.
IV. Application Documents
Applicants shall submit the following documents to GDUFS by email or posting:
1. Confucius Institute Scholarship Application Form.
2. Photocopy of Passport Photo Page.
3. Application Statement: stating applicant's Chinese language learning background, study plan and aim in China It shall be written in Chinese and no less than 800 words.
4. Photocopy of New HSK and HSKK Result Report.
5. Notarized highest education diplomas attained or proof of study.
6. Reference Letter and Letter of Commitment. Students attending Chinese language programs of universities in countries with no Confucius Institutes established shall attach a reference letter signed and issued by the university President. The Master’s Degree Scholarship applicants are required to submit reference letters provided by two professors or associate professors (in Chinese or English). A written commitment stating that the applicant will be engaged in Chinese language teaching for at least 5 years after graduation (written in Chinese and sign with signature).
7. Applications under the age of 18 shall submit relevant legal documents of entrusted legal guardians in China.
8. Winners of the finals of the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competitions for Foreign College Students and for Foreign High School Students in China shall submit the scholarship certificate. Winners of preliminary rounds of the “Chinese Bridge” Proficiency Competitions in their countries shall provide award proof and reference letter provided by the organizers.
9.Chinese language teachers shall submit certificate of employment and recommendation letters provided by institutes they work for.
V. Entrance and Annual Appraisal
1. The scholarship winners shall register at the GDUFS before the deadline set by GDUFS. Scholarships will not be kept for those who do not register on time without reasonable cause.
2. Scholarships will be canceled for those who cannot pass the health examination.
3. Students for a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) shall be subject to an annual appraisal organized by the host institutes before the end of the first school year after being enrolled according to the “Annual Appraisal Procedures for Confucius Institute Scholarship”. Only the eligible students are entitled to continue to receive the Scholarships in the following year.
